About the project

Triagenics is a dental technology company developing a treatment that prevents wisdom tooth eruption — a clinical solution to a problem that affects most adults. They turned to StartEngine to fund the next phase of clinical development through retail investment.

Crowdfunding campaigns live or die on the strength of the video. Rally On Media, the production studio behind the campaign, brought us in to write the script that would carry it.

The challenge

Clinical technology is hard to communicate. The science behind Triagenics' treatment is genuinely interesting, but it can read as dry, technical, or worse — gimmicky — in the wrong hands. Crowdfunding investors needed to understand the opportunity in under three minutes, trust the team, and feel motivated to invest at the end.

The script had to balance science, storytelling, founder credibility, and a clear call to action without losing the audience along the way.

What we did

A single script, but built through proper structural work — not just clever sentences.

  1. Audience and intent mapping

    Started with the actual audience: retail investors on a crowdfunding platform, scanning between dozens of campaigns. Mapped what they needed to feel, understand, and decide within each section of the video — and reverse-engineered the script from there.

  2. Story-led structure

    Built the script around a story arc rather than a feature list. The clinical innovation became something the viewer cared about because they understood who it was for and why it mattered — not because we listed its specifications.

  3. Founder credibility, designed-in

    Scripted the founder segments so the team's expertise came through naturally, not through CV-style narration. Investors trust people they've listened to — not people they've been told about.

  4. Clear, motivated call to action

    Ended on a specific, motivated ask — built on everything the viewer had just learned. The CTA earned its place; it wasn't bolted on.
